SLOW TOURISM
Slow Tourism is the opposite of the conventional mass tourism. Instead of as much sightseeing as possible and as much activity as possible in a short amount of time travelling slowly is focused on taking time for each activity and connect with a place to create meaningful moments while exploring.

Slow Tourism means taking time and travelling at your own pace. It's not about rushing through activities and doing as much as possible but rather about finding some acitivities and enjoying them to the fullest without any hurry. It is about about purposeful experiences and connections.

Train tickets are discounted for all travellers under 26 and over 65. Find routes and book tickets here or visit a Pressbyrån store to buy a ticket there.

TRAIN

The "Allemansrätten" is the Swedish Right of Public Access and allows everyone to access land (except private residences), pick berries and even put up your tent and camp. Nature reserves are often an exception as well but the Allemansrätten gives you the right to explore almost every part of Småland. Find out more here.

Cycle on old unused railway lines with a draisine and choose between different starting points on the Smalspåret line (Hultsfred/Målilla/Virserum/ Åseda/Triabo) or start in Strömsnäsbruk and cycle to Axhult.
